FOREWORD
by Harry Andrews (PhD, retired Consultant Psychologist)
This website aims to act as a 'hub' for information on OCPD and its stablemate perfectionism. Here we summarise what is known and available on the Internet, and provide links as well as hundreds of references, both to academic papers and to books. At the bottom of this page you will find a list showing the content of this website, but if you're only interested in the up-to-date use the link here:
Online Survey of Personality Features
Researchers at NYSPI/Columbia University are seeking adults (> 18 years old) to complete an online survey about beliefs and behaviors related to personality styles. Participation is anonymous and typically takes up to 60 minutes. The information gathered will contribute to a better understanding of the nature of personality-related problems, leading to improved assessment methods and treatment interventions. Participation is limited to once per person. For more information please click on this link or the one below:

Our intention is to help people to find their way in this emerging field. People who suffer the personality disorder are almost always perfectionist, but the converse is not necessarily the case. OCPD in particular causes a great deal of suffering and unhappiness, so those have the disorder and people around them need all the help they can get.
About us: we are a team of psychologists, counsellors and mental health professionals, working hand in hand with volunteers who have also had years of experience in the mental health field. Members of the team have also had long involvement in running family therapy and practising as marital therapists, as well as into research. Below you will find a list showing the content of this website, but if you're only interested in the up-to-date use the link here:
